Bitcoin continues gradual uptrend; Santiment presale ICO hits 45,000 ETH target

Bitcoin has been relatively stable lately with prices staying around the $2,500 USD mark for the most part, though very gradually creeping back toward $2,700 USD.

The price of a single coin currently stands at $3,407.07 CAD, as of 8pm, ET, Wednesday, according to price indexing data from CoinDesk.

The rest of the cryptocurrency market is a mixed board at time of press with the total cap sitting at approximately $130 billion CAD and bitcoin accounting for 42.4% of that number.



Ripple is up 1.14% in 24 hours, according to data from Poloniex, with the value of one XRP token currently at $97.83 CAD.

Litecoin is down 5.15% in the same period having previously enjoyed a fantastic week which saw its value surge by a whopping 22.41% in seven days to nearly $80 CAD; one litecoin is currently trading at $66.89 CAD on the Poloniex exchange.

Ethereum’s recent bearish behaviour shows no sign of letting up with the price of ETH down 1.66% in 24 hours and a disappointing 18.54% in seven days; one ETH coin is currently trading at $341.42 CAD.



In other news, the Santiment private presale ICO began on Tuesday and all 45,000 – or $15 million CAD – was raised within hours; the ICO never even made it to the public because the target was reached privately.

In fact, 75% of the desired ethereum was raised during the first ‘whitelist community members’ only stage; the second stage was open to all those who invested in the Cofound.it presale and the remaining 25% was snapped up in a matter of minutes.

Cofound.it and Santiment are the brainchildren of digital asset management platform Iconomi.

Iconomi will launch its platform in the next couple of months, and the value of ICN tokens will become interesting to track.
